WARNING: Try not to lick the screen.

Almond Butter

Almond butter has become second popular to the ever well-known peanut butter, but it’s slowly but surely becoming a fan favorite. It’s been traced back to the Medieval Islamic world as a substitute for dairy products and a gazillion years later, we are still eating it! Maybe due to the fact it contains about 7 times the amount of calcium and about 50 percent more magnesium than other nut butters. Not only is it delicious spread on toasted bread, but also you can mix it with cakes, cookies and other baked goods. Add it to your smoothie to add the thick texture and it enjoy it on the go!

Cashew Butter is definitely having its moment in the spotlight! If we had to pick favorites, this would definitely be it. It’s sweet, rich and distinctive taste will make you want to grab a spoon and eat out of the jar. (We may already have done that.) And to add the icing on the cake, cashew butter’s fat is mostly the monounsaturated kind, making it one of the top sources of fatty acids! Still not impressed? Two tablespoons of cashew butter covers 87% of the recommended allowance of copper. Enjoy it with saltine crackers or bake your own rice Krispy Treats and enjoy!

Macadamia Butternutbutter2

Compared to other nuts, macadamias are high in fatty acids, which is why they are luxuriously rich in taste and a more liquid texture. They play a huge role in lowering your cholesterol and are quite delicious. Due to it’s watery texture, macadamia butter is best used as a topping to creamy desserts or even fruits! Use it as a spread on your sandwich with Brie, and you can thank us later

Walnut Butter1

Ok, everybody’s already talking about walnut butter; and we’re pretty sure we know why. Its thick texture is what satisfies your hunger and who doesn’t love to be the “happy” type of full after a meal. As you already know walnuts are extremely high in omega 3 fats, which help improve heart rate, blood flow, and reduce the risk of heart diseases. Our favorite combo has to be walnut butter spread with white chocolate! Just don’t forget it to place it in the fridge!

Pistachio Butterimg_1907

Take a break from breaking the shells and enjoy the sweet buttery-ness pistachios have to offer! If you love the pistachio nut, you are going to love the butter form – that’s fore sure. If you were addicted before, wait until you try a spoonful of the smooth and delicious spread. Pistachio butter helps with your iron metabolism and goes on great with mozzarella, basil and any type of baklava.

Peanut Butter
Old but gold. The one who started the trend, so to speak! We couldn’t not put this on our list because it really is that good. About 80 percent of the fat in peanut butter is unsaturated and two tablespoons of the stuff contains 7 grams of protein, and about 180 milligrams of potassium. It’s had a childhood memory locked in our hearts since forever and we love it put on almost anything. With apples, on toast with jelly, dipped in cookies, in salads, and main courses – it really is the super nut butter. We really don’t even need to tell you what it goes well with.

Midway through writing this post, we are guilty of a spoon in a jar that’s already half way done!
