With March creeping up faster than ever, it’s time to hang up our “roomy” winter sweater that so generously allowed us to eat our way through the winter season. While that spacious sweater of yours may have covered your appearance, your spring clothes won’t be as generous. Yes, cue the panicking faces and rise of the gym memberships! While exercising is always a good idea you can’t forget that your meals and snacks are 70% of your body figure. Yes, that much. While we know it may be a little early to do an extreme detox diet, it may be time to cut back on that extra cupcake you’ve been having every day since Christmas. (Yes, we know your secret shame!) With that being said, we can’t think of a better snack replacement than our delicious nuts – and due to the benefits in each one they’ll make you feel leaner, fuller, and skinner! Who’s ready to be the baddest peanut on the beach? We know we are.

So obviously, they’re good for you! The levels of good bacteria in almonds reinforce the immune system. So what are you waiting for? Walnutswalnuts 1

If you’re not a fan of fish, walnuts are an especially great way to get these healthy unsaturated fats. They help protect your body from cellular damage, which can lead to a heart disease, cancer or premature aging. Also, they contain the most antioxidants of all nuts! It is also said that walnuts may enhance reasoning skills in teenagers. Considering the crazy popularity of the Kardashians, this ain’t no small talk!

PistachiosScreen Shot 2016-02-24 at 2.25.26 PM

The most slimming of nuts, pistachios have the lowest per-nut calories than any other nut (4 calories each! Say what?). They are high in protein and fiber and contain vitamin B6, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Also, since they’re in a shell, it’s going to take more time for you to eat them and therefore, the snack will last longer and you will eat less! Subconscious – oh what you can do! They’re also packed with potassium and essential minerals for healthy muscles.

CashewsCashews 2

People say this is the most fattening nut. Even if they have a buttery and fatty flavor, fear not! 18 cashews contain only 165 calories, nothing a 10-minute run cannot burn! On the health level, they are one of the most nutrient-rich nuts with plenty of iron, zinc, vitamin B6, and magnesium. They help deliver oxygen to your lungs, prevent anemia, and improve memory. And have you noticed how cashews are particularly crunchy? Chewing more generates satiety!

Peanuts

The most loved nuts in the world (Mostly by us!) and yes, you can still eat them even if you’re trying to lose weight. Since they are packed with protein and fiber, they will make you feel fuller, helping to control your appetite and therefore reduce your calorie intake. Amazing right? And you know what’s even more amazing? They can increase your metabolic rate. Yes you read that right! There’s been a lot of research to proved it. Eating peanuts will never make you feel deprived, as they contain good fats. They also stabilize your blood sugar and provide long-lasting energy. What more can you ask for?

With summer literally around the corner, we can see the panicked faces from a mile away. Have no fear; our trusty little nuts are here to help you slim down those pounds and be beach ready before you can even say cashew!
