What if we told you we’ve seen Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour, and Kanye West go nuts? Okay, maybe we haven’t actually seen them go nuts but we’ve seen them as nuts! Donald Robertson a.k.a Donald Drawberston is known for his magic in New York Publishing, as well as being a guru in the cosmetics industry – but his insane artistic ability is just another accomplishment to add to his résumé. Most of you probably know him for his most famous project “Kermès” where he took the character, Kermit the Frog and gave him a Hermès makeover. The illustration went viral via Instagram and that made way for a new fashion statement amongst A LOT of fashion lovers. However we are pretty sure that Mr. Drawberston has outdone himself with this one. Say hello to Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour and many other contributors to the fashion world in nut form! Yes, Donald Drawberston collided our favorite subject with fashion and created the coolest project… ever. It makes sense that the title of his new project, “Fashion is Nuts”, reflects how crazy in love he is with the fashion industry. Using walnut shells, he transformed the simple nut into fashion icons such as Pharrell Williams Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Kanye West, Grace Coddington, and more – with a twist you’ve never seen before! Although his artwork is phenomenal he doesn’t believe in being a full-time artist, but when he has his sporadic projects they’re all huge hits. We must say, Mr. Drawberston has hit the mark on this one.
